| Enchant your tropical atmosphere with this wonderful plant. You can choose from different varieties, by combining which you can also achieve the effect shown in the picture. The rose cane (Canna indica), colloquially, is a showy summer flowering plant that is planted for its colorful appearance. Plant in a place where the soil is well drained and exposed to plenty of sunlight. Some varieties cannot tolerate the scorching sun due to the coloration of the leaf. As there are both higher and lower rose cane varieties, their expected height should be taken into account when planting. The rhizomes are placed in the soil with their eyes facing up. Perennials, in warmer areas it is enough to hit them only once, they can be left in the garden with some protection, but we draw your attention to the fact that they do not survive the harder winters in Hungary. If possible, the rhizomes are picked up after the first frosts, at which point the leaves freeze, but the rhizomes in the ground are not damaged. Winter in sand in a cool place, protected from dehydration. |
